Direct link?

I noticed that when I click on a feed item, I'm first taken to a page telling me what it is, then when I click on "original item" I'm taken to the original page with the item highlighted, then I have to click through to open it. Is this the standard behaviour? I can see that it would be useful to me as an administrator, but I don't think it makes much sense to the user who just wants to read the article. Is this a hard-wired feature or does the paid plan allow me to bypass it?

the standard behavior depends on the type of item that is extracted. for example, if a link to a story is found, the standard behavior would be to show you the story in an article view when clicking on that item.

some items are very short though, so if we find an item like a small blog post, the standard behavior is to show the user the full blog post when clicking on the item.

there are some edge cases though when we have an item, and we are not sure what type it is. the standard behavior here is to show the user the actual page where this item was found.

there might be a bug in determining what type of item you are clicking on. could you post or send me a link to the item you are looking at in particular? this could help us understand the behavior you are describing.

in the end, i agree with you, we want our standard behavior to match that of what a general reader would expect, not an administrator.

Thanks eleith, I'll experiment with more feeds and report back. Thanks again for great support.
