I am going though the transition of diffmarks to the dashboard and i am finding that both are of great value to me. I will use the dashboard for things that i am following, like i would a newspaper or a magazine. however, i do not want to give up my bookmarks and the ability to look up my bookmarks from any computer. the bookmarks have pages that i will need to refer back to from time to time that do not change a lot. And having the ability to take them with me to another computer is of great value. I hope that you will continue to offer both services.

our firefox plugin should continue to work, so that should help you use diffbot as a bookmark service.

the dashboard is just an interface for viewing changes to sources, so you can use the sources however you want.

if you have a lot of sources that are static bookmarks, just tag them all under one section. diffbot will always store all sources you want to remember in the future, no matter how you want to use those sources (for monitoring or just remembering)

the search bar on top of dashboard allows you to search all your sources. if you remember the title or parts of the URL of a source you are looking for, you will now be able to search all your sources.

this is a change from the reader, where all sources are organized under folders and sub-folder structures, but we found that most people have less than 10 folders. having tags/sections seems to be a better way to manage sources, and searching sources is easier to manage than having to remember what folder you put what source in.

try using the dashboard for a bit as a way to search your bookmarked sources and let us know how far you can get.
